What it seems like might be a Thunderbird setting maybe??
For what it is worth, normally I use firefox and click on the reply to post
arrow button on the right on the post.
I don't have much use for email clients as their only real use is for when
you are offline,
and since email is an online sort of thing, unless you have a business
account or similar, then there really isn't a need for one unless you are
archiving emails or PMs from a forum or similar.
So, in essence what I am trying to say is that I am not subscribed to the
mailing list itself, because I don't want all that stuff in my mailbox, and
basically use the mailing list like a thread directly.
When someone wants to contact me directly, then It goes to my mailbox, so
as to cut down the spam, uninterested in threads, and or general time it
takes me to go though everything.
If this was my mailing list, then I could understand wanting all that stuff
directed to my inbox, etc. But for general public thread like interface
google groups seems to be the only one, and works fine for my purposes.
I googled double posts and came up with a few other groups that was trying
to figure out the same thing, tho I didn't seem to find a concrete answer,
or maybe didn't understand who was receiving the duplicates in that
instance and why.
But it sounds like this is an external email client issue or something.
Sometimes I see a 'RE:' thread pop up on groups regarding another mail
somewhere, but rarely see that and I think it has to do with where they
posted from(was not from groups in general).
The only thing google has is a 'add Cc' box sometimes, and really doesn't
give a whole lot of options.
Might be a mixture of google and external email client also, but am not
sure. No duplicates show up on groups, so I am unaware of these occurances.
If there is something different about one of the test posts, that didn't
duplicate, then just tell me which ones, and I'll hopefully figure out if
this is actually google doing this, but ATM I am still a bit unsure as the
only real big difference is which button was clicked to reply.
